The Traditional Revolution in Europe, Against the Dark Side of International Liberalism.
During the period between WW1 and WW2, called the interwar period, In the Southern Europe, the country of Spain, the greatest period of change swept across their lands and people since the Muslim conquest. After WW1, liberal democracy was in full effect in Spain and many types of new leftist progressive parties ranging from the communist party, to moderate liberalism and socialism were spreading ideas in peoples hearts and minds.
Our film will tell the story of how the different sides of liberalism united for power and began to erase custom and traditions, restricted the powers of religion which people relied on in Spain very much, many people in the clergy, up to 10%, who faced killings. The political environment became very serious, from rigged elections, the execution of conservative political opponents that rose to challenge the power of the left and support from the international communist party (Bolsheviks) from Russia, and everywhere communism existed.
A counter revolution began against the leftist Republicans of Spain, led by General Francisco Franco. A devout religious man that nobody expected to lead the country to victory from communism and to lead the country, for over 35 years afterwards. Fighters from across the earth, came to fight for one side or the other. A battle which became for traditionalists a war against the spread of international communism, which many in world began to see as a existential threat, and liberals that believed in a new ideology of the progressive left and their utopian ideals.
We will highlight Francisco Franco's own approach to keeping Spain a unique country that did not fully side all of the times with the right or the left, you will see his leadership style and belief in God and his spiritual alliance with the Catholic Church, to eradicate the dark forces of liberal internationalism and communism. An evil that wanted to dis-empower the Christian religion, and people's spiritual reliance on God first, by putting the government above all in matters of decision making, for people's culture, way of life and freedom.
You will find a shocking similarity to today's political environment across most countries in the world, not just in the West. Our film will show how complex the country was in its beliefs, with different ethnic groups, political parties, and ideologies, but how people joined together, sometimes reluctantly to fight against, or for tradition and or a new utopia, offered by liberals who wanted power and change at all costs.
Our story will be historically accurate, and will reveal how much of the political elite and governments in the West, gave tacit approval the rise of leftism, and did not want to intervene its spread, because they believed particularly in an idea of liberalism which represented the enlightenment and decentralized power away from the few. Despite the obvious corruption and tyranny that comes with a new rise to power, it is a story and warning quite common in our modern times, where governments are slow to step in and restore order for the sake of stability, balance, tradition and true fairness of freedom, for all of its citizens wherever a citizens political beliefs may lie.
Franco liberated and led his country at a time when liberalism began to win elsewhere around the world after WWII, which isolated Spain due the timing, but Francisco Franco was beloved by his people until his death decades later and until the end of his presidency, for keeping the traditions and values of their people alive. Leaders from many countries began to eventually come to see that Francisco Franco was legitimately a force for good, and that he was right in many things, as radical liberalism began to create revolutions, political instability, spiritual emptiness, economic decline and disorder in many countries. Although most radical leftists fled the country during Franco's decades in power, Francisco Franco after the war, sought to unify his country whatever side you were on, because they were the people of Spain. Something that you will notice, in his style of politics, his flexibility, but he never wavered on tradition, and resisted communism without exception. Many of the radical left, returned toward the end of his reign.

The Valley of the Fallen was Francisco Franco's burial site from 1975 through 2019, until his body was exhumed by legal decree.
