The Keyserling Management Group is a business management company, operator and investor that supports traditional and conservative companies and professionals and our own projects, where we bring together smart, dedicated people to create to uphold the principles of value, strength and cultural and economic stability preservation, built on character,  innovation and sophistication. There are many traditional businesses and managers creating a renaissance in technology, publishing, manufacturing and other high tech industries. That is who we connect do business with.

Golden ages are created and great Civilizations are held together by a belief in Godly virtues, an infinite eternity and people with a shared history, traditions, high common ethics and morals, and spirit. Great leadership is also required to uphold what is right in these and to endure with high standards of professionalism above all else first. Economics will always be a necessary core to hold a nation, institutions and its people together. Which is why investment and management in companies is so important. How we run businesses is reflected in our society and quality of life. Our purpose is preserve conservative culture in this way, while we build value with operators and professionals.

The pace of restrictions on investment, and the erasure of traditional, conservative ideals has grown and some businesses and professionals have faced problems growing their ideas, when an investor or society doesn't agree with their beliefs, preferences and ideas. Some are forced to remain silent or walk away. Often there is no compromise. As a consequence, access to investment and the will to operate with long term generations in mind, has greatly reduced.

Meet the dedicated professionals behind Keyserling Group's success. Each team member brings unique expertise and a commitment to our mission of preserving and strengthening conservative cultures through strategic investments.

(In Memoriam) Kay Berg is the Chairman of the Keyserling Group, and has over 40 years involvement as a senior management executive, founder of companies and investor in several industries. She started a bio-medical device manufacturing company and was one of the founding investors and first board members of, Hemocue USA, which today, distributes medical device products in over 130 countries and is a subsidiary of Danaher (NYSE:DNR).

In the early 2000's Kay entered the energy industry and created strategic development businesses and mergers and acquisition finance projects in the oil and gas industry. These sectors included upstream exploration and production, oil services, refining, transportation and physical commodities trading. 

​​

The methods of her operations and projects have been based on a strong hierarchical leadership, with high standards for efficiency and accountability, while rooted in a discipline of traditional and moral principles and virtues with and efficient and innovate and risk taking work ethic. While at the same, time fostering free thought for strategy, design, action and innovation. Kay worked with many leading organizations and professionals around the world with common values for the purposes of the specific projects. It was Kay's intention to move Keyserling into the direction it takes today rooted in preserving virtues, values and ideas on how to operate and manage a business. Character, is an essential core tenant of Kay's belief system. To be smart without a good character is not what you want in a person's makeup. To have a good character, be smart, and to act on your purpose is the right type of person you want beside you.

Kay's philosophy includes a core tenant to care about the "people's value." The value that each individual has and creates is given the environment to exist, to be a part of the character of our culture and it's achievements.

​Joseph Michael

​

For over 30 years, Joseph Michael has worked in capital raising and developing new companies and projects in the oil and gas industry. Prior to this, Joseph worked in M&A finance and capital raising for six years for independent investment banks and separately, for private companies in medical, pharmaceuticals, energy and the high technology sector.

​​​

From 2004 until 2025, Joseph was COO of BUDC Capitol Holdings, Kayden Higgins Corporation, Centillion and North Cambrian Capital (Co-CEO) founded by Kay Berg, who was the founder, Chairman and CEO of the companies.

​

From the beginning of BUDC and the following companies, Joseph together with management and teams, built relationships with and raised capital from over 70 investors in hundreds of investment transactions raising over 3 billion dollars in LOI’s term sheets, letters of credit and working capital (debt and equity) for various company projects and operations. They also worked with the largest and most specialized investment firms and commercial banks in the oil and gas industry, for debt and equity financing, marketing, sale, and divestiture processes for energy companies.  Joseph, with the CEO’s and Board of Directors, worked within their teams and with public and private energy companies on developing and targeting acquisitions, new developments and strategic partnerships in the sectors of exploration and production (E&P, upstream) oil services, oil trading, ship building finance and construction proposals (Jones Act vessels, for oil products, (midstream) and refining and marketing, (commercial oil and product trading, downstream). The companies located, developed, structured financing and bid on assets and developed high level commercial projects domestically and internationally.

Under these companies, in leadership and conjunction with the board, executives, advisors and investors, they would find and evaluate, create strategic planning, raise capital for the development or acquisition and sale process of oil and gas properties and oil refineries and hired investment banks, professional service (law and outside accounting firms) as advisors, for assistance in the due diligence of many large ad public company divestitures.

The oil refineries ranged in size from 25,000 to 200,000 BOPD, with revenues of $100MM-$1B per year, and EBITDA’s from $20MM to $100+MM annually. E&P company sales or divestitures varied from EBITDA of $25-$80MM.

​

Most of the main U.S. based refineries that were worked on are located in Hawaii, Texas, Louisiana, Montana, New Jersey, Philadelphia and Denmark and Sweden, owned either by the majors or publicly traded independent refining and specialty chemical companies. E&P asset sales were located in the Gulf of Mexico offshore, onshore, Delaware and Permian Basin, Eagle Ford and East Texas to the Powder River Basin in Wyoming and throughout North and South Louisiana.

 

As COO for most of his 27 years, Joseph worked very closely as a team with the Chairman and CEO, Board, co-executives, staff and advisors under the leadership of the CEO, and collaborated with its teams every day. The focus was to work diligently to foster and build relationships raise capital and create exciting partnership strategies and projects that highlighted the strengths of our management team and its vast capabilities, and those of our strategic partners and investors. Most of the public and private oil and gas companies dealt with, highly capable in their own right, included some of the largest pipeline, storage and fuel marketing and distribution companies in the United States, were based on the work the team did to establish good initial relationships and brought to the highly capable management teams and industry technical experience together with business projects, that created growth ideas to increase cash flows and infrastructure to build the value of each organization.

 

The companies along side in sale processes most of the largest U.S. and European investment and commercial banks and many large private and public companies, within the energy industry on working capital revolver financing, commercial term loans, specialty financing, by coordinating, identifying structuring and negotiating on the financing and sale of companies either to acquire businesses and or to develop strategic operating acquisitions, partnerships and investments.

Today, Keyserling Management Group LLC, which was founded by Kay Berg, will continue its legacy of Kay’s management principles and culture. A culture of character, virtue and discipline, with a pride that anything can be accomplished with the right ideas, sophistication and careful planning, being taken on with strong leadership and decisive risk-taking action, along each step of the process, until a project’s successful conclusion. Instilled inside the company and its people, is an optimism of cheerful fortitude in seeing growth occur each day, professionalism and confidence, combined with a tremendous energy that has always motivated their people with an endless commitment, and love of the process to build. All which embodies the principles and culture of Kay Berg’s companies and management philosophy. Joseph worked very closely over 27 years and exemplified her life principles and professional standards, which he considered the main key and first principle of the company’s value proposition.

Joseph Studied Government and International Politics at George Mason University’s Schar School of Government and Department off Economics and has worked on political campaigns for congressional seats, Governor’s races in Virginia and presidential elections,
